SEE THE GREAT PRICE ON BARRETT REC10 RIFLES
Tennessee-based Barrett last week announced they have upped the ante on their line of new REC10 .308 carbines to include an offering in Tungsten Grey Cerakote.
Barrett said in a statement the new coating flavor is a response to customer demand and is now shipping to dealers. The company introduced the rifle to the consumer market last December with Barrett President Chris Barrett at the time disclosing the new gun, 10 years in development, was fresh from winning a military contract.
Chambered in .308 Win, the direct impingement SR-25-style semi-auto has a carbine-length 16-inch barrel and receivers machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum. Featuring full ambidextrous controls, the rifle has a slimline free-float aluminum handguard with M-LOK slots and a full-length Picatinny top rail.
Besides the grey scheme, the REC10 is already available in either black or FDE cerakote finishes. All models incorporate a Magpul MOE-SL buttstock and weigh 8 pounds wearing Magpul MBUS sights. MSRP is in the $2,750 (priced much less than that in our Vault!) range and is the company’s first semi-auto .308 offering to the public.
See more on the REC10 in a below conversation we had with Barrett at SHOT Show earlier this year.
