An armed robbery of a Columbia, South Carolina, bank over the weekend ended with a colorful surprise for the two suspects as they made their getaway.
Surveillance video captured the moment dye packs mixed in with the stolen cash exploded inside the suspects’ vehicle, leaving a bright pink plume bellowing from the windows.
The robbery took place at the TD Bank around 11 a.m. Saturday. Both suspects attempted to conceal their identities and one carried a pistol. Authorities believe the suspects, who remain at large, abandoned the getaway vehicle, but it’s unclear if they left the dyed cash behind.
