The city of Baltimore received plenty of media coverage while the violence erupted, buildings burned, cars were stolen, stores were looted and rocks were thrown, but there was another side of the city which was highlighted across social media with the hashtag: #BaltimoreCoverageYouMayNotSee.
“Don’t give them a reason,” one man said as he placed himself between the police and angry protesters.
People filled the streets again after the riots, only this time to help with cleanup efforts.
