The newest Marvel movie grossed an impressive $626 million worldwide over the weekend, $187.7 million in the United States alone. Ticket sales for “Avengers: Age of Ultron” didn’t quite catch up to the original Avengers movie, which grossed $207.4 million back in 2012 on its opening weekend, but the newest film still takes the place as one of the top three grossing movies in the U.S. on opening weekend, alongside two other Marvel movies. “The Avengers” still stands at number one and “Iron Man 3” holds third place with $174.1 million.
