The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office busted up a million dollar Xanax ring out of Louisiana earlier this month, resulting in 11 arrests and a record-breaking 220,000 Xanax pills off of the streets, 100,000 of which were already packaged and ready for distribution.
The drug ring apparently used computer currency and reached nationwide. The pills recovered has an estimated street value of $1.1 million.
Sheriff Mike Tregre called the ring a “sophisticated operation.”
Among those arrested are facing a variety of drug-related charges are: Katie Cahill, 22; Megan De St. Germaine, 26; Pamela De St. Germaine, 51; Matthew Gul, 26; Austin Hammond, 20; Matthew Helms, 23; Michael Keller, 20; Courtney Simon, 20; Joshua Sutton, 23; Taylor Willis, 21; Brandon Zar, 24.
