The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested a Carmichael, California, man Sunday night and raided his home Monday morning.
According to local media, James Malcolm, 29, was the subject of a months-long investigation by the ATF and the FBI. He allegedly sold four AR-15s converted into machine guns, three blasting caps, 1 1/2 pounds of explosives and a silencer to undercover agents. However, according to reports, Malcolm said his main business was selling explosives and poison.
Agents evacuated the area and raided Malcolm’s home, which they thought was rigged with explosives.
