PHOENIX, AZ –-(Ammoland.com)- The Associated Press so-called “apology” for the Romney photo abomination is nothing of the sort, and their reputation is so badly tarnished it is impossible to polish it back up again.
As I recently reported this is the second blatant example in recent weeks of the AP’s biased treatment of Romney.
From the Daily Mail Online: “Mitt Romney may want to watch where he squats after a troubling photo of the candidate bending over in front of schoolchildren was beamed all over the world.
The photo shows Romney crouching down in front of the gaggle of young students at Fairfield Elementary School in Virginia, where he had been campaigning on Monday.
But behind him, one of the children is looking down, her mouth gaped open with a look of shock on her face.
Shock: The combination of Romney’s lower-lip biting and the look on the girl¿’s face sparked caption contests and anger among those who say the AP was out of line to publish the photo
The combination of Romney’s lower-lip biting and the look on the girl’s face sparked caption contests on Facebook and anger among those who believe the AP was out of line to publish the photo in the first place.”
The Associated Press people are relatively intelligent and it is beyond hope to imagine they didn’t realize how ridiculous their original image and caption was. They wear their bias on their sleeve and their morals are now in the gutter.
This is just part of an ongoing pattern of deliberate distortion and deception on the part of a once fine news agency that has fallen into disgrace, in full view of the news-consuming public. How do they justify such self-evident bad reporting? They cannot: They ignored this travesty even after directly confronted with it, issued no correction, and simply presumed you don’t care and don’t count.
Alan KorwinThen they tried to outdo themselves with more grotesque abuse of the public trust. All we can do is hope against hope that they change.
