What:
Wild in the City is a fun-filled, one-day program for youths 6-16 to learn outdoor skills including archery, wildlife identification, survival, fishing and elk and turkey calling with the Arizona Elk Society and its volunteers.
Why:
The Arizona Elk Society hosts the program several times a year in Phoenix and other communities to teach youth appreciation for the outdoors, new skills and help girl and boy scouts earn necessary badges.
Parents describe the event as a one-day science camp adventure with hands-on activities their children have never done before.
Additional sponsors and volunteers are needed to expand the program to more local children.
When:
Saturday, Nov. 5.
Registration: 8:30 a.m.
Activities: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

About the Arizona Elk Society:
Established in 2001, the Arizona Elk Society (AES) is an Arizona non-profit organization to benefit elk and other wildlife in Arizona through habitat conservation and restoration. The organization works with government agencies and other organizations to provide their services. It prides itself in providing “hands on” support that conserves and enhances wildlife habitat in Arizona.
