Gun maker Aresnal said it has temporarily halted production for the SLR-104FR series, a 5.45×39-caliber AK variant, according to an announcement last week.

The Las Vegas company said it’ll focus production models to fill contractual obligations while the current stock of the series will continue to be sold until supply ends.

“Although the SLR-104FR Series is a joy in the firearms marketplace, it is not yet known to be a ‘Collector’s Item,’” the company said in a statement. “This might change quickly as orders are being turned away and only a few distributors have a handful of them ready to ship.”

The SLR-104FR is described as designed and manufactured to meet and exceed stringent military requirements. Features include a quad-rail handguard system, a stamped receiver, chrome lined hammer forged barrel, left-side folding stock, removable muzzle brake, bayonet lug, accessory lug, stainless steel heat shield, a two-stage trigger, and scope rail.

The package comes with one 30-round magazine, sling, oil bottle, and cleaning kit. The rifle is available in black or desert tan, and retails for $1,179.
