MELBOURNE, FL --(Ammoland.com)- ARES Defense Systems, the country’s leading manufacturer of innovative, mission-configurable firearms, parts and accessories announces a partnership with Brownell’s as a stocking distributor of ARES Defense products including ARES’ groundbreaking and patented belt-fed MCR rifles and upper receiver assemblies.
Other ARES products to be stocked by Brownell’s include the innovative ARES SCR rifles and lower receiver assemblies, as well as the newly released and game changing FightLite STEP-22 pistol receiver upgrades for popular Ruger Mk & 22/45 rimfires.
“We’re really excited to be working with Brownell’s” says Geoffrey Herring, CEO of ARES Defense.
“As far back as I can remember, Brownell’s has always been the “go-to” place for quality gun parts, tools and gunsmithing equipment. As a young kid, I remember poring over their timeless books “Gunsmith Kinks” and absorbing all of the tricks of the trade, which ultimately proved critical when I launched my professional career as a gun designer. The folks at Brownell’s are great people, they’re very knowledgeable and I’m extremely pleased to announce our new business relationship and for them to be distributing ARES Defense products.”
As ARES Defense premier rifle offering for the commercial marketplace, the MCR vastly improves upon the standard AR15/M4 by offering exceptional flexibility with its dual-feed capability and quick-change barrel. This flexibility, combined with other unique features, allows users to instantly customize the MCR without tools for virtually any use and is available in 12” (NFA Rules Apply) and 16” inch lengths. Furthermore, the MCR features gas-piston operation that provides greater reliability in extreme conditions, and is cleaner, cooler and more reliable in adverse conditions than the legacy direct-gas system.
The unique design of the MCR also allows customers to upgrade their existing AR15/M16/M4 rifles by simply substituting an ARES supplied MCR upper receiver assembly in place of the legacy upper, which are rearward compatible to the earliest AR15’s and M16’s from the 1960’s.
The innovative and patented ARES SCR (Sport Configurable Rifle) is the first of its class of firearms to successfully combine the traditional lines of a hunting pattern rifle with the modularity of an AR-15 rifle.
The ARES SCR blends strength, reliability, accuracy and rugged weatherproof characteristics of America’s longest serving infantry rifle with the classic lines of an American sporter. Lightweight, accurate and featuring a MIL-STD 1913 flat top upper receiver that accepts most modern optics, the ARES SCR is designed to perform under the most demanding field, competitive shooting or tactical conditions. The multi-caliber, modular design permits the operator to instantly change calibers in the field by simply pressing two pins and exchanging one upper receiver assembly for another.
Designed for optimal configuration, the ARES SCR accepts most Modern Sporting Rifle accessories and parts including magazines, upper receivers, barrels, bolts, handguards and optics, so it can be easily and effectively reconfigured for each individual shooters’ style and activity. Supported by a full line of performance accessories and manufactured of the highest quality aircraft grade alloys by American craftsmen, the weatherproof and dependable ARES SCR will provide a lifetime of accurate shooting pleasure for all Americans.
