Montgomery, AL -(AmmoLand.com)- Great Southern Outdoors Wildlife Plantation will be hosting the Alabama World Championship Bow Hunter competition in December of this year and February 2016.
Bow hunters will participate in two-person teams with a maximum of 20 teams. One group will arrive at Great Southern on the afternoon of Nov. 30 and draw for hunting grounds. The group will scout on Dec. 1, then hunt Dec. 2-4, departing on the morning of Dec. 5.
There will be one winning team from this group. The second group will arrive on Dec. 5, draw for hunting grounds, scout on Dec. 6 and hunt Dec. 7-9, departing on the morning of Dec. 10. There will be one winning team from this group as well.
The two winning teams will return during the peak of the rut in February 2016 to compete in the grand finale in the SuperBOW Championship!
Prizes will be awarded based on total team points and individual points. Bucks will be scored according to Pope and Young standards. Doe will add 75 points each. Hogs will add 25 points each. The prize package is still under development, but it will include the SuperBOW Championship hunt in February (a $1,300 value), trophies and merchandise.
