Sourcing, machining, reputation, brand, and personal experience all come into play.
But beyond the hypothetical, they discuss their list of companies that meet the criteria. And for those who still want some additional guidance, they give their own personal recommendations as to who they trust if they were inclined to buy a rifle rather than build one.
