DeKalb, Illinois – -(Ammoland.com)-The AR-15 Podcast is back with episode 177. Reed is taking the week off, but the guys hold down the fort without him. J.D., Chris, and Anthony catch up a bit about what they’ve been up to.
Anthony has some details for our California listeners out there on how you can join the fight and make a difference to turn back the draconian gun legislation the state recently passed.
The main topic is Cerakote and the cast welcomes Robert Hunter from RTT Firearms. Robert gives a brief history of RTT and how the company got started in firearms and Cerakote in particular. So first and foremost, what is it?
It’s more than a paint job, but how? Looks aside, one of the major advantages is the durability of the coating and the protection it offers for the firearm. But it’s not an invincible coating and Robert also discusses the limitations of what Cerkote can do. They also discuss what it takes to become a certified applicator, cost to consumers for a quality job, and some of the stranger requests he’s had over the years.
