Springfield, IL -(AmmoLand.com)- The Illinois State Legislature is now in full swing and there are over 200 bills that pertain to firearms, shooting and hunting now show a mosaic of where the anti-Second Amendment crowd would like to go.
The now dead SB2846 which would have banned animal trophies is an example. SB2846 would have driven deer hunting into the ground quickly followed by turkey hunting. Another such bill which is still alive is SB2143.
SB2143 would ban the sale of bobcat pelts. This is what I call a “bridge head” bill. If the sale of bobcat pelts can be banned, why not muskrat, raccoon and other species?
The anti-hunting movements in Illinois and around the country are getting stronger and are very well funded.
All hunters need to join in the fight to preserve their right to hunt. Being a member of the Illinois State Rifle Association is one way to do that.
Hillary Clinton
I want you all to brace yourself because I have to expose a shocking truth about Hillary Clinton. Please sit down before you read this because I don’t want to be responsible should you get light headed, get the “vapors” or succumb to emotional shock and fall down.
Here it comes – Hillary Clinton has been caught in a lie about guns – again.
Hillary stated that the majority of crime guns used in New York came from Vermont. The problem is that BATFE statistics show that between 2006 and 2012 exactly ZERO crime guns came from Vermont. Since 2012, only 55 crime guns used in New York in any type of crime, came from Vermont. I suppose Hillary has missed her Liars Anonymous meetings again because of her heavy campaign schedule. Understandable.
In one of my terrorist watch updates it was pointed out that Nation States (countries) have borders, tax their people and have a common language with a few exceptions; ISIS does all of these things. The United States does these things with varying degrees of proficiency. We are really good in the taxing area for example, but maybe not so hot in other areas. It sort of averages out, I suppose.
Speaking of borders: When you were in school I am positive your highly proficient history teacher taught you about WW I and WW II. One of those lessons undoubtedly dealt with Benito Mussolini and his role in world history. Mussolini was the head of the Italian Socialist Party but was thrown out. Mussolini loved his Italy but was thrown out of the Italian Socialist Party because he wanted to enter WW I and defend his beloved Italy. Socialists you see, don’t believe in borders. Do you see any modern parallels? Just asking.
The Second Amendment is under a well-financed broad based attack. I want to assure you the Illinois State Rifle Association will not only fight to preserve your rights, but fight to expand them.
