Rindge, NH –-(Ammoland.com)- “Once again our dangerously underfunded mental health system will get honorable mention and short shrift as the culprit in last Fridays horrific mass killing in Santa Barbara, Ca. by a tortured, dejected, angry loner” said Richard Feldman, president of the IFOA.

While u-tube had pulled the alledged shooters “retribution” tape off its system, it can still be viewed here: https://tiny.cc/yk6igx

Dr. Cedric Alexander Chief of Police for De Kalb County Ga. and a clinical Psychologist (advisor to the IFOA) questioned why it takes such a tragedy to even ask the right questions.

“Our attention span is so short we never focus on this complicated problem long enough to address the problem, let alone begin to fix it”, he said.

“After the Newtown shooting everyone from the White House to the state house mentioned mental heath as the real culprit, but what have we done about it? The number of mass killings represent only a tiny fraction of senseless killings, but get 99% of the air time and are responsible for some additional copycat killings”, Feldman added.

Saying, “it’s only a matter of days till the California legislature calls for new gun restrictions as a convenient scapegoat and digestible political piñata. They may as well call to outlaw BMW’s as the killer couldn’t have driven one if the legislators outlawed a brand of automobiles instead of dealing like responsible adults with the problem”, concluded Feldman.
