Glenwood, AL -(Ammoland.com)- Eight AWA Pros continue to battle each other and the 14,000+ acres of Roblyn’s Neck Trophy Club near Darlington, SC on this week’s episode of AWA’s Whitetail Pro Series.
Following the scouting phase of the innovative, no-kill deer hunting tournament, the AWA Pros are challenged with wild weather swings and a rut that appears to be over as the competition moves to its two days of hunting. Watch the action as the AWA Pros hunt their way towards the elimination round, where half of the field will be sent home.
The remaining four AWA Pros will advance to the final afternoon of hunting and the winner of the Roblyn’s Neck Invitational will be crowned. All of the action can be seen on the Pursuit Channel Wednesdays at 9 a.m., Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 1:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3:30 p.m. EST throughout both the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2014.
The only hunting competition of its kind, AWA’s Whitetail Pro Series is truly unlike anything else in the hunting world. AWA Pros compete head to head on the same land, at the same time, chasing free-range whitetails as they battle for the title of Whitetail Pro Series Champion. What sets the Whitetail Pros Series apart is that the competitions are no-kill.
This is accomplished by utilizing digital scopes that capture images of shots taken as a blank round is fired, allowing competitors to “take” multiple deer in a day and over the course of a competition. AWA believes this format provides the truest test of a hunter’s skills and allows the most consistent performer to rise to the top. In addition, AWA does not believe in the harvesting of animals for the sake of a competition, so the no-kill aspect satisfies our ethical beliefs as well.
Industry partners for AWA Whitetail Pro Series are The Quality Deer Management Association (Presenting), ATN Corp., DeLorme, Carbon Synergy and Horny Buck Seed Company.
