Cody, WY -(AmmoLand.com)- The American Knife & Tool Institute has announced the launch of a new and improved website.

The updated online presence will provide a wealth of information for and about the knife community at https://www.akti.org.

The American Knife & Tool Institute (AKTI) has launched a new and improved website, featuring state-of-the art technology, updated content and a more user-friendly interface. Its goal is to better serve members and others. The URL is https://www.akti.org.

“We’re excited that the new website design will do a better job of helping the knife community, law enforcement and legislators find the valuable resources, reliable information and news that the American Knife & Tool Institute offers,” said Jan Billeb, AKTI’s Executive Director.

AKTI is a non-profit organization that represents all segments of the knife industry as well as knife users. It was formed in true grassroots fashion by concerned industry leaders after considerable discussion with individual knifemakers, knife magazine publishers, and a broad section of the knife community.

“On the new site we created multiple paths to the key information in legislation, education and resources to make the site not only easy for users but faster to find answers,” said Billeb.

AKTI has been the voice of the knife community since 1998. The updated online outreach was enhanced with these AKTI’s goals in mind:

  • EDUCATE the public, legislators and law enforcement about knives as valuable, essential daily tools.
  • PROMOTE reasonable, responsible and consistent knife laws and enforcement.
  • INFORM with accurate industry, historical and technical information to help legislators, educators, the knife industry, and knife users make responsible decisions regarding knives.

“The new American Knife & Tool Institute website opens up a wealth of information to the public with the State Knife Law information that will allow knife users to carry and use their knives with confidence,” said its executive director. “The state law summaries give members of the knife industry guidance on what they can and cannot sell in different states and helps them answer questions for their customers.”

AKTI President CJ Buck, who is also the president of Buck Knives, Inc., said this:

“As the responsible, credible voice and advocate for the knife community, AKTI takes seriously our goals to educate, promote, and inform about knives as critically essential and valuable tools in our everyday lives. Our new website provides a very user-friendly, visually appealing and accurate resource for information about knives, knife safety, knife laws and knife industry related issues. We are very pleased to have this improved site to serve the industry and the public with reliable information.”
