AUSTIN, Texas —–(AmmoLand.com)- The American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA) is inviting young sportsmen (ages 8 to 15) to attend the 2nd Annual Pigapalooza Youth Hog Hunt.

The event will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at DB Hunting Ranch in Bertram, Texas, and will provide a morning and evening hunt as well as a pork sandwich lunch and other fun, educational activities.

“This is our second year to offer the Pigapalooza Youth Hunt, and we are very excited to help introduce the thrill of hunting to children who might not otherwise have the opportunity,” says ADWA President John Meng.

“ADWA was established in part to encourage more youth involvement in the sport by creating greater accessibility and affordability. The DB Hunting Ranch is our co-sponsor for the event and their support for this event has been tremendous.”

Working in conjunction with ADWA, the American Deer & Wildlife Foundation is a 501(3)c non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the accessibility and affordability of hunting for youth and educating children on wildlife and conservation issues. As part of its mission, ADWF also produces a quarterly youth publication, SPIKES Magazine, which is distributed to summer camps and industry events across the country.

ADWA partners with companies and organizations within the deer and wildlife industry to promote products, services, membership benefits and overall growth of the industry through youth and public education. Serving as a ‘PR engine’ for its members, ADWA combines the benefits of marketing and education to inspire credibility among consumers and unity within the industry, and ADWA now broadcasts public policy messages to millions of households via the Outdoor Channel network. ADWA is also the title sponsor of Keith Warren’s Deer & Wildlife Stories program, now airing on the Pursuit Channel.

Cost is only $50 for one non-trophy class hog per youth hunter. Space is limited. Youth must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Call ADWA to reserve space today at 877.331.8607.
