Lubbock, TX -(AmmoLand.com)- Alamo Four Star is pleased to announce the release of the Cowl Induction Brake (CIB).

The CIB CNC cross milled port design reduces recoil by over 50% while minimizing the sound directed back at the shooter. The CIB was developed as better way to mitigate the recoil of large caliber rifles.

Founder Mark Deros realized a need to revisit the industry standard muzzle brake design when he was shooting his .338 Lapua and experiencing substantial recoil with a standard factory brake. This led Mark to find the most effective way to redirect the escaping gas pressure and put that energy to work to more effectively reduce recoil and manage muzzle rise.

The reduction was made possible by redesigning the internal and external geometry of the traditional brake to increase the efficiency of the flow of gasses.

“I realized after shooting my .338 Lapua for a while that there had to be a better solution than receiving an ‘ass whipping’ with the factory muzzle brake,” said Mark Deros CEO of Alamo Four Star.

With 18,000 lbs of pressure being released from that muzzle, that’s a lot of energy available to be exploited. The CIB uses that energy to the shooters advantage creating a more enjoyable shooting experience and faster follow up shots.

The CIB is available in 223/5.56, 6mm, 6.5mm, .30cal, and .338 Lapua in both black and stainless steel. MSRP on the CIB is $169.
