Advanced Armament Corp debuted its newest rimfire suppressor last week in Atlanta, a long-to-short stackable can that brings the performance but not the weight.
The new Halcyon (pronounced hal-see-uh n) can was officially unveiled at the 146th National Rifle Association Annual Meetings and Exhibits at the Georgia World Congress Center on Friday but Guns.com was able to get a sneak peek at it on Thursday at the annual American Suppressor Association shoot.
The Halcyon has a modular design that can be adjusted by the user from a short, compact suppressor to a full-sized model without tools. It uses shielded K-baffles keyed for repeatable exhaust port alignment– improving tone and accuracy.
Using shielded Titanium K baffles, the .22LR suppressor is full-auto rated and is able to go from a 3.4-inch short stack to a 5.2-inch full-length without any tools required by the user. Weight is just 6-ounces. The Halcyon is direct-thread 1/2x28TPI standard but has interchangeable rear cap threads for other pitches.
AAC touts the full-auto capable Halcyon as being readily usable across numerous .22 platforms.
AAC bills the new suppressor as being able to drop muzzle reports by 42dB. MSRP is $449 and the can is ready to ship.
