Images of the ballistic shield used to help end the siege of the Bataclan have circled the globe in the past week, and here is an interview with the commandos behind the kevlar.
The shield, used by the first police commando through the door of the historic Bataclan theater where ISIS terrorists held hundreds of hostages, is riddled from an astounding 27 impacts from AK-47 rounds. Of the three terrorists, two took their own lives through the use of suicide vests while the third was killed in a hail of gunfire from police.
Tragically, 89 hostages were killed.
