700 pot plants seized in Maryland grow operation (VIDEO)

Authorities in Maryland engaged in what one could call a major drug bust this week. In fact, with more than 700 full-grown marijuana plants seized, worth nearly $1.5 million, it is the largest pot bust in Kent County’s history.

The operation was discovered on a 15-acre what was thought to be abandoned property in Chesterville, and although authorities now have the goods, they aren’t yet talking about who could be behind the operation.

Meanwhile, some neighbors are shocked, while others not so much.

“I could not believe it,” Marian Ash told reporters. “I couldn’t believe it.”

But Marian Kealey, who lives across the street, said she always had suspicions and felt something was awry at the house.

“They had a lot of weeds and stuff right outside the kitchen door,” Kealey explained. “I figured something was not right.”
