Buying a concealed carry firearm for self-defense is a serious business but, lucky for you, a limited budget doesn’t have to stand in your way. Heading into the Guns.com vault we’ve collected several carry pistols that won’t break the bank.
Diamondback DB9 G4
Florida based Diamondback Firearms has been in the firearms business since 1989, making a splash in recent years with their DB9 series. Weighing in at 13.4-ounces unloaded Diamondback touts the DB9 as one of the lightest striker-fired 9mm pistols on the market today.
The Gen 4 has several upgrades from its predecessor including a slide stop, improved trigger, improved grip area and the ability to fire +P ammunition. The lightweight of the gun does give it stout felt recoil. Loading +P? Beware.
+P ammo aside, the DB9 proves to be a great gun for those times you need a light, concealable carry pistol. Even better, the handgun can utilize Glock sights for those that prefer a little extra in the way of sights.
Overall, the DB9 G4 delivers a reliable single stack 9mm pistol that works for nearly all budgets with a price-point of under $240.

Ruger SR9c
Renowned manufacturer Strum, Ruger & Company has been manufacturing firearms for several decades, but their budget-friendly SR9c was a new addition in 2010. Since its introduction, the SR9c has been an option for those in search of an affordable and reliable concealed carry gun.
The SR9c gives users some flexibility in how they want to set-up their gun with a reversible backstrap and integral accessory rail for lights or lasers. That’s a bonus for those that like a little say in their setup. Additionally, the proprietary loaded chamber indicator alerts shooters when there’s a round in the pipe – a handy safety feature for those that want a visual indication of condition.
At 23.4-ounces this is one of the heavier concealed carry guns on this list, however, it makes up for that junk in the trunk with its capacity. The SR9c comes with both a 10-round magazine and an extended 17-round magazine offering plenty of rounds.
If 9mm isn’t your caliber of choice, the SR series also comes in .40 S&W and .45 ACP. With a price point under $300, the SR9c is both affordable and an easy shooter.

Springfield XD-S
Springfield Armory’s XD-S series of pistols has been a hit with CCW holders since its introduction in 2012. Measuring under 5-inches in height with a width under an inch and a barrel length at a whopping 3.3-inches, this pistol conceals well on just about everyone.
The pistol comes with both a 7-round flush-fitting magazine but you can always opt for more rounds with an 8-round extended mag. Available in two flavors – Mod 1 and Mod 2 – the Mod 2 styling brings an improved grip and sights along with that beloved moniker reminding you which generation you’re shooting.
While new models retail for as high as $525 you can often find Mod 1 versions for under $350.

Taurus Millennium G2
Brazilian manufacturer Taurus built its reputation on affordability with its Millennium G2 series leading the pack. Sporting a 12+1 capacity and weighing in at just 22-ounces unloaded, the Millennium G2 offers a design perfect for concealed carry.
The polymer striker-fired pistol sports an integral accessory rail for lights and lasers in addition to bringing a new stippled grip for a more positive grip on the firearm.
Millennium G2 models tackle +P ammo and ship in a variety of calibers. New models retail for under $275 while used models can often be found for less than that.
Walther PPS M2
“The single stack that started it all,” according to Walther, the PPS was one of the first to incorporate a polymer frame into the single stack design. The M2 variant saw the addition of an upgraded grip, among other improvements, delivering a better feel in the hand.
Walther is well known for its triggers and this model is no different. Trigger travel is only 0.2-inches, making it ideal for those preferring a shorter pull on their concealed carry gun.
There are many models of the M2 available – including those with RMR cuts and mounted lasers. A brand spanking new PPS M2 retails for $400 though used models come in for less.
