Modesto, CA –-(AmmoLand.com)- 5.11 Tactical of Modesto, CA has recalled about 19,000 knives retailers were giving away as a promotional item because the blade lock can fail, posing a cutting hazard to consumers.

Only minor cut – to a store employee – has been reported so far. The recalled folding knives, Style No. 51041019, have a black handle with a pocket clip and are approximately five inches in length when closed and seven and three-quarters inches in length when the blade is open.They are manufactured by Spanlink International Corp. in China.

In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, 5.11 Tactical is advising consumers to stop using the knives immediately and returned to their local 5.11 Tactical retailer or contact the company direction to return and exchange the knives for a substitute promotional item at no cost.
