Four people are in custody for the brutal assault of an Alabama teen who was left with brain damage and a fractured skull last month after expressing “Blue Lives Matter.”
Brian Ogle, 17, was targeted by the group following social media posts supporting law enforcement and was attacked in a parking lot after his high school’s homecoming on Sept. 30. The attack, which his mother described as a hate crime, left him hospitalized with extensive injuries.
The names of the suspects have not been released at this time, but range in age from 18- to 20-years-old. Two of the suspects were arrested at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, while a third was arrested at Auburn University and the fourth suspect was apprehended in Sylacauga, where the assault took place. Authorities do not believe anyone else was involved.
All four suspects are facing felony assault charges and being held with bonds ranging from $15,000 to $20,000.
