All That Remains’ Phil Labonte Joins 3GN Host Mark Wills for Skills Segment.
USA –-(Ammoland.com)- Season three of the television series 3-Gun Nation, will feature a new twist with musicians receiving training tips.
3GN TV host Mark Wills, a multi-platinum country singer and voice over talent instigates a new challenge by inviting fellow musician and gun enthusiast Phil Labonte (of the rock/metal band All That Remains) to join the show.
The season-long, head-to-head challenge features two lead singers receiving instructional sessions from pro 3-Gunners while comparing their individual progress throughout the experience.
Wills explains, “I really enjoyed myself filming this season. Even though Phil and I play opposite music we both share a common passion for firearms and the 2nd amendment. It was fun to shoot with him and compete with a fellow lead singer and student of the game.”
Labonte adds, “I love my music, but when I’m not on tour I spend a lot of my time shooting. I have a lot of friends in the firearm industry, and I enjoy promoting the 2nd amendment however I can. I’m pretty new to 3-Gun so I’m on a major learning curve, however I can honestly say I’m pretty much addicted to it now.”
Music featured in the show will include songs from the forthcoming new studio albumfrom All That Remains, A War You Cannot Win. The band’s seventh studio album will be released this fall via Razor & Tie /Prosthetic. One of the leading rock/metal bands in music today, ATR has sold more than 890,000 albums and 1,290,000 tracks to date. The band has had enormous success at Active Rock Radio with five consecutive hits and they havetoured extensively the world over. http://www.allthatremainsonline.com
This season of 3-Gun Nation will feature Wills and Labonte being trained by some of 3-Gun’s best shooters, including Colt’s Clint Upchurch and team Noveske Pros Jansen Jones and Rob Romero. Romero, a champion 3-Gunner, is also 3-Gun Nation’s Director of Competition for the 2012 3GN Pro Series.
“Both Mark and Phil are accomplished musicians; however they represent the average guy getting started into the game,” Romero said. “You’re not going to be as fast and accurate as us guys on TV overnight, it takes time and practice. We were able to break 3-Gun courses down for the common, everyday shooter who wants to get started.”
