Hunting Regulations Available Now in Print and Online.
SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. – -(AmmoLand.com)- The 2009-2010 Georgia Hunting Seasons and Regulations Guide is available online and in print announces the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division (WRD). This guide provides information on season dates, bag limits, hunting licenses, wildlife management areas and much more and is available at www.gohuntgeorgia.com , WRD offices and at license vendors throughout Georgia.
“The Hunting Seasons and Regulations publication is designed to help hunters better understand the laws and regulations for hunting in Georgia,” says WRD Assistant Chief John Bowers. “We encourage all hunters to review the publication each year and note any changes to their favorite hunting areas, seasons or activities.”
Members of the Board of Natural Resources enacts hunting regulations by acting on recommendations made by WRD’s professional wildlife biologists and field personnel. Georgia’s game and fish laws are enacted by the elected members of the General Assembly.
Major changes for the upcoming season include:
- License Availability: Hunting licenses are available by phone (1-800-366-2661), online at www.gohuntgeorgia.com or from retail license agents (license agent listing available at website).
- License Changes: There are many new license opportunities, including early renewal discount, multi-year licenses and an apprentice license. Visit p. 8 to see more on available licenses.
