$10K reward offered for info on MN gun shop burglary (VIDEO)

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the National Shooting Sports Foundation have teamed up to offer a collective reward of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for a burglary at a gun shop in Rogers, Minnesota, last week.

The suspect broke into Guns and Gear Store at 11:44 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, and made off with 10 guns and 11 silencers, worth about $14,000 altogether.

Rogers Police Chief Jeff Beahen described the burglary as “methodical” and believes it was pre-planned. Beahen also noted that the suspect passed a number of expensive guns and opted to take higher-end merchandise.

“Maybe this individual has approached someone somewhere on the street trying to sell these items,” Beahen said.

The suspect is said to be a tall, slender white male. He was seen wearing a digital camouflage parka, gray sweatpants, light socks, and dark tennis shoes. He also carried a dark-colored backpack.

Tips may be submitted to the ATF online or by calling 1-800-283-4867. Information can also be relayed to the Rogers Police Department at 763-428-3450 or Hennepin County Dispatch at 952-258-5321.
